About The Read Shop
The Read Shop is a national retail chain in the Netherlands, operating 172 stores specializing in books, magazines, and gift items.

My role & impact
As Interim Marketing & Communications Manager, I revitalized The Read Shop’s marketing and communication activities. I was part of management and board meetings and led a team of four employees. My key contributions included:

  • Structuring & optimization – Mapping out and streamlining existing marketing activities
  • Concept development – Creating and implementing new marketing and communication concepts
  • Loyalty program – Expanding and optimizing the customer card program
  • Digital optimization – Upgrading the corporate website to meet modern standards
  • Strategic planning – Developing the 2019 marketing plans

These strategic and operational improvements provided a solid foundation for The Read Shop’s continued growth and market positioning.
